We Met with Our Partners in Africa
Guests from Senegal, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Cameroon, and Sudan were hosted by our Africa Regional President, Prof. Dr. Halit HAYDAR, and DAİK President, Mr. Recep SARIKAYA.
The development of trade and economic relations with Africa has become an important foreign trade goal. DAİK has taken a policy of opening up to this continent, positioning itself as one of the most active NGOs in Africa in recent years. In the coming period, it is expected that the economic and commercial relations will continue to grow, and that the trade volume between DAİK members and Africa will increase as of 2023.
DAİK President Recep SARIKAYA stated that Turkey is also standing by African countries during their structural development process. In this context, Turkish companies are playing an active role in addressing the structural deficiencies in Africa, creating employment opportunities, and contributing to Africa's development through knowledge and experience sharing. We, at DAİK, place great importance on the African continent. With the efforts of DAİK Africa Regional President Prof. Dr. Halit HAYDAR, we will play an active role in Africa.
Strengthening Commercial and Economic Relations with Africa: DAİK’s Role and Future Vision
The development of relations between Turkey and Africa goes beyond trade, with increasing cooperation in the fields of social, cultural, and educational partnerships. DAİK, by establishing partnerships with Turkish companies in Africa, is leading projects that support sustainable development in these countries. Turkish firms, particularly in the energy, agriculture, infrastructure, and healthcare sectors, are intensifying their efforts to leverage Africa's potential.
Prof. Dr. Halit HAYDAR emphasized the potential of Africa's young population, stating, "The future of Africa is in the hands of the youth. We aim to contribute to Africa's development through investments in education and innovation." It is expected that DAİK, in line with this vision, will continue to create a strong economic and social impact in Africa.
